【Nikon use NX for new product development started this fall】

Nikon Corporation Imaging Company has gone through many processes

before Introducing NX.

1994 Began an investigation into the implementation of  ３D CAD

1997 Chose to implement I-deas

2001 Re-investigated to find the most appropriate 3D CAD as Imaging Company

2002 Select 8 types of 3D CAD systems

2003 Decided to use I-deas continuously and migrate to NX in future

In last fall, the company has started to apply NX for the new product

development. Concurrently, introducing Teamcenter to utilize

3D data throughout the process.

1. Simens to acquire UGS Corp.

Siemens AG has made an announcement that Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D)

 is planning to acquire software producer UGS Corp. on 25 January 2007.

With its acquisition, the Siemens A&D Group will expand its product spectrum in 

automation technology to include industrial software for planning, design and 

simulation in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).

【Which country has the top software piracy rate in the world?】

The latest PC software piracy statistics indicate that Malaysia ’s piracy

ｒate is 60%, and the Government announced that they will conduct

nationwide visit and take action against companies which use software

 illegally (Source: The Star 15 Nov 2006).

However, Malaysia figure of 60% is below the Asian average of

pirated software…..
