₯How to utilize 3D CAD/CAM in Mold Making

@`Innovation for Mold Making by implementing 3D CAD/CAM`

@@

Indonesia Mold & Die Association

Mr. Makoto Takahashi

@

3D CAD has been widely used in product development and Mold making.

Now, CAD software is not only for design, but also for analysis. It might not

be too much to say that new product design cannot be done without it.

@@

Moreover in machining areas, NC machines tools have been developed and cutting

down a large number of staff. On the other hand, we must not forget that experienced

human skills are still very important in this area.

@

He will share his idea of how much can be done by ‚h‚s, and which part cannot be done.

₯Digital Development in Commercial Car development

@@

ISUZU Motor Ltd. CAE System Promotion Department

Mr. You Honma

@@

Isuzu  has been promoting digital engineering, based on 3D model created by

Unigraphics/Teamcenter,  in order to reduce development period and cost,

as well as to improve product quality, and process of CAD and CAE analysis

@@

Mr. Honma will share what has been an outcome of this implementation

applied to new product development .

TOYOTA has been implementing digital engineering in each area, and the

optimization of each area has been completed with speed priority.

  @

Now TOYOTA is targeting entire optimization to achieve smooth global production,

development efficiency, and to increase car quality. In this process,

entire operation, from design, production technology, manufacturing, to sales,

can be completed based on 3D data.

 @

This utilization of 3D data has been effective in terms of data correction,

data management in many departments.

@

In this session, Mr. Katou will share the outcome of this approach and its future

progress. Lastly, he will also introduce his idea on how data processing should be

in production technology areas.
