Up Close and Personal with Mr. CAD/CAM – Dr. Le Hung Tien

Introducing NX to Vietnam Market

        With a joint effort of UGS, ISID and NSV, 2nd Digital Product Development was successfully held at Legend Saigon Hotel in Vietnam on 20 March 2007. It was also our honour to be able to invite Dr. Le Hung Tien, Ph.D, lecturer of University of Technology Vietnam and Director of REDSUN CAD/CAM training center, to be our guest speaker and give our audience an insight of the current trend of digital product development in Vietnam and share his experience using NX.  

UG NX as a total solutions for Enterprises and SMEs

          Dr. Tien, Ph.D in Institute for Electrical Machines, Berlin University of Technology & ITIMS, specializing in CAD software for Generator and Electromagnetics field computation. Working with CAD software since 1988, Dr. Tien was Autodesk certified instructor for Autodesk Training Center in 2000. He was also the honorable mention by HCMC Chairman 2004. He is currently teaching CAD/CAM and 3D software on HTV.  

          RED SUN Inc., established in May 2004, is the M&E Consulting Company in Ho Chi Minh City .

          RED SUN majors in CAD/CAM/CAE Training with most CAD/CAM/CAE Products and Dr. Tien was made the chairman of RED SUN. Early this year, we have the honour to invite Dr. Tien to ISI-Dentsu South East Asia to undergo a 5 days training of UG NX. Review from Dr. Tien of UG NX was, “UG NX is a total solutions for enterprises and SMEs which I would like to promote. The ease of use and the ability to transforms the entire product development process to reduce wastes and design in quality is truly impressive and I would definitely want to promote this into Vietnam market.”  

            Indeed more than a suite of integrated CAD, CAM and CAE applications, NX goes beyond individual and departmental productivity to improve efficiency in the overall process and at each step in the process. A comprehensive solution, NX is built on an open foundation and advanced technologies that directly support initiatives to transform business processes.  

Promoting the training for young Vietnamese

            Dr. Tien feels that the demand for skilled personnel in 3D software for domestic and foreign labor market far exceeds for supply in Vietnam thus the training for youths in countryside is needed as it is low cost, short time and good chance for employment. Thus cooperating with Vietnam Youth Association and HTV, Dr. Tien is currently in the project of promoting the training with support from Government to train young people so they can find jobs easily. However as NX is still new in Vietnam market, Dr. Tien hopes to make UG NX popular among young people too.
